My feeling about the discourse approach in reading class

  

The first day When In learned in the discourse approach in reading class. I fell very hard for me because I never learned it before. I feel very excited, but when I met a teacher, I’m not exiting because I ever met teacher before. She is Dr.Usa Noytim. The teacher thought the great, but sometime teacher very fast. ^^

This subject helps me about reading and teach me have knowledge about discourse marker that help me easy to read and write. 

         I know about grammar, vocabulary, composition and I made development English skills. The problem for the learning about vocabulary, grammar, composition correct. I felt leaning  the discourse approach in reading class. English more. And I intend to be the best. Thank you Dr.Usa Noytim very much. Thank for everything.

EXPOSITORY TEXT

I had a discoursed approach in reading. The teacher taught about Expository text. The teacher explained and make me understand more. Then, I listened teacher read the text about The internet and society and I looked follow. Next, I did exercise about this paragraph. Then, I learned and do my work read the text and answer the question about synonym for the word in bold type in each sentence. The texts were  difficult because I don’t know vocabulary. In my opinion, the Expository text and Classification were interesting.

Problem and Solution

I had a discoursed approach in reading. The teacher taught about the problem and solution reading.In new sheet, there were a short example text and a small diagram. I thought, this unit was easy, but when I opened to the next pages. I tried to read and remember them. The teacher helped us to translate them to Thai. , I learned and do my work read the text and answer the question I often read the texts, and opened to look the meaning of markers because I couldn't remember them. Last, the teacher assigned us to do homework. In my opinion, the problem and solution were good and  interesting.

I had a discoursed approach in reading. The teacher taught about Exemplification. This morning, The teacher answered the old exercise about the species of whale.Then,my friends and I started learning.The teacher explained about the meaning of exemplification. The texts were  difficult because I don’t know vocabulary, but the teacher taught discourse markers. It’s made me understand. In my opinion, the Exemplification were interesting.

After that we had a lunch.

In the afternoon, my friend's presentation about how to cook. So, my friends and I felt hungry. We ate many foods such as Lab Kay, Yum Kana kung sod, and sandwich Kay,  volcanos delicious. .I enjoy with them. They made me full and fun.

I had  discoursed approach in reading. The teacher taught about Definition and Classification. The teacher explained the details about them for comprehensions to us.  . I learned and do my work read the text and answer the question about  What is Anthropology, Species of whales. In my opinion, the Definition and Classification were interesting.

Then my friends presented about how to cook food. The foods were interesting for
me.

Cause and Effect

Cause and Effect

I had  discoursed approach in reading. The teacher taught about Cause and Effect. Teacher let us to read example texts and look the diagram which show the cause and
effect about student are not allowed to chew gum in my class and I wrote cause and
effect in this the matter. Next I read some paragraph. The paragraph was about the
Titanic. I can read and filled in a diagram correctly. I circled the markers when I read.
I think the lesson was difficult for me because sometimes I can't translate the texts and don’t knew vocabulary. . I learned and do my work read the text and answer the question. In my opinion, the Cause and Effect interesting.

The last,my friend and I presentation about how to cook Fried chicken with garlic and pepper.I felt exiting and not confident.My classmate like my video.I’m pound so much.

Comparison and Contrast

I had  discoursed approach in reading. The teacher taught about Comparison and Contrast from last week. . I think it's difficult for me but I can understand it. I want to improve them. We learned quickly because university had NPRU Open House Day. Teacher explained about Comparison and taught it that gave for example, assigned works for practice and gave homework. I learned and do my work read the text and answer the question, I was fun. In my opinion, the Comparison and Contrast  didn't  defecate  and interesting. Then teacher answered exercise in sheet. 

After that My friend and I presented about how to cook .I was very funny

Reacting to the Reading

a.I agree with Tannen's view that men and women have problems in conversing with "cross-cultural communication". In my opinion, men and women have different life and experiences that it is made problems in communication.

b. In my native culture, men and women have such different life experiences, they
    Don't speak the same language. Women will say to make they be friendly with
  Other people, but men will say to make themselves be a good person.

c.Men talk to show their skills and knowledge that their are a good person, on the other hand women talk to build relationships with other people.
